Hi there everyone. I am currently in the USA, teaching at Las Vegas on February 22 and then staying for the rest of the Creative Painting Convention. Then I'll be spending some time catching up with friends in California before heading home to Fish Creek.

Fish Creek has been spared from any of the terrible bushfires thought we have been suffering the heat, the dry and the smoke. Fires have been burning about 30 miles away. The Wilsons Promontory National Park near us suffered a lightning strike which started a fire and 22,000 hectares have burnt so far (out of 48,000 in the park).

While I am away no orders will be sent out so please be patient as I will return about March 15 and will process any orders that have been placed. My husband, Greggiebear, is on standby for fire fighting duties and I don't want to put any more stress on him.  

Here is a photo of the smoke taken from our verandah on the day the major outbreak happened. It got much worse over following days.
